Diane-35 is a low-dose monophasic combined oral hormonal contraceptive with antiandrogenic effect. It is used to treat androgen-dependent and hyperandrogenic disorders in women: acne (acne vulgaris, including papulopustular acne), seborrhea, androgenic alopecia, hirsutism. This oral contraceptive is especially intended for women with symptoms of androgenization.
Diane-35 contains the estrogen component represented by ethinyl estradiol and progestin component represented by levonorgestrel (norethisterone). Thus it can be used harmless for health and it can ensure maximum safety for all women, regardless of whether they take hormonal contraceptives for a long time or have just discovered this method of preventing unwanted pregnancies.
Diane-35 also contains cyproterone acetate, developed by the pharmaceutical company Schering AG, that is a potent anti-androgenic agent. After taking it for a few months, women notice a reduction in manifestations of androgen-dependent diseases.
